As travel restrictions start to become a little laxer, many are starting to fly to their destinations, and for good reason! There’s only one way to take that trip to Hawaii you’ve been talking about, right?

Flying straight to your destination can have its perks. You get to where you’re going quicker, giving you more time to do the things you want to do there.

Sometimes, though, the journey getting there can be just as much as an adventure.

So if you’re considering taking a vacation, here are 5 compelling reasons why making it a road trip can be a viable option.

1. You actually get to visit MORE destinations!

If your list of things to do while you are on vacation is as long as mine, it can start to get pretty costly. Not to mention fees for flights are becoming more expensive every year.

Roadtrips give you the option to make your money go a little further by allowing you to make a few scenic stops along the way.

Driving from New York to Los Angeles? Make some quick stops to the states you’re passing through.

You might even find a destination worth coming back to that you didn’t know of!

2. Pack a bag..or five 💼

Remember those flight fees I mentioned? Well, that includes extra baggage. If you want to bring more clothes with you, you need more luggage. More luggage equals more money.

See where I’m going with this?

Traveling by car gives you more freedom to pack as much as you can.

3. Freedom!

I have vivid memories as a child of waking up at 3 in the morning for an 8 am flight because my mom didn’t want to be late. Flight itineraries alone are enough to make anyone go insane.

Driving alleviates that stress 100%.

Of course, you want to factor in traffic with your commute, but the point is that it’s completely up to you!

Your car/truck/RV is your ticket to freedom. The opportunity to see the country at ground level is something no one should pass up.

These are just a few of the many reasons why your next vacation should be on the road. Be on the lookout for part 2 coming very soon.
